We're seeking a dynamic General Manager for an Events Center in Porto.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 5 years of Senior Management experience in high-paced environments, adept at overseeing large-scale operations like Convention Centres or major event venues.
We value an inspirational leader with robust project management skills.


MAIN FUNCTIONS:

- Actively manage the annual budget and business plan.
- Achieve operational targets through effective leadership.
- Foster a service-oriented work philosophy, implementing initiatives for growth, profitability, and continuous improvement.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to annual plans and budget.
- Stay ahead of market trends for a competitive, fresh, and innovative offering.
- Cultivate strong internal and external relationships and partnerships.
- Promote a culture of goal achievement, results, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate operational activities with a focus on the highest quality standards. -
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports to stakeholders.
- Build external relationships to attract top talent to the company.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the company, ensuring their engagement.
- Identify sales opportunities and facilitate the sales process.
- Implement policies and procedures supporting agreed-upon service standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing necessary training and development.
- Identify and nurture successors in operational roles.
- Proactively manage site and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other legal requirements.
