Chief Financial Officer Palma de Mallorca

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer in Palma de Mallorca.
Responsibilities:
• Reports to General Manager.
• Direct and oversee all financial activities of the corporation including preparation of financial reports and summaries and forecasts of business metrics.
• Along with Human Resources, hire the Finance Department personnel, including Controller, IT, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Payroll and Employee Benefits and Cash Reconciliation and provide leadership in the areas of accounting, management information systems, analysis and financial reporting
• Contribute to the growth of Company focusing on maximizing profits based upon business principles and standards as a result of guests having a positive experience
• Consult with and advise corporate executives on company policy, operations and financial objectives
• Lead weekly P&L meeting with managers and monthly P&L meeting with a General Manager and senior management.
• Develop and write accounting and internal control procedures manual within 60 days
• Discuss budgeting and forecasting with President and senior management. and manage through the Director of Operations
• Validate accuracy of reported food, beverage and labor costs and resolve discrepancies
• Consider the relative cost and benefits of potential business strategies and recommend the appropriate course of action to President.
• Develop and enforce controls and policies which safeguard the assets of the Company and take responsibility for compliance with all labor related Spain and other country regulations and laws where the Company has presence.
• Responsible for accuracy, reliability and development of IT Department
• Maintain awareness of new or pending tax laws and obtain information from our tax accountants
• Oversee capital asset procurement and provide ROI analysis
• Establish and manage the cash flow position of the company
• Work with the owners to manage bank relations, evaluate re-financing alternatives and to raise additional capital as required for expansion
• Join the team in lease negotiations providing information on sales projections and costs
• Coordination and administration of all legal-related matters, including litigation, contracts, and agreements.
• Oversee Risk Management including General Liability, D&O, Workers Compensation, Unemployment and Health and Welfare plans and discuss with President and select Senior Team members.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, MBA, CPA a plus
• 5+ years of experience leading the finance function as VP Finance or CFO for a multi-unit restaurant or retail company
• Multiple-unit and multi-state experience in restaurant or retail business a plus
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices in accordance with GAAP
• Strong project management skills from conception to completion, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to deadline
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to negotiate with vendors, contractors and other business partners
