JCI Talent is recruiting a Director of Operations for the Spanish Market for an international Focused Service hotel company expanding its portfolio.
Reporting to: COO
Job Purpose:
●Providing Leadership and Direction to the Hotel Managers in their geographical region
●Maximising financial returns at the Hotels by managing cost base and driving sales
●Providing and support and mentorship for Hotel Managers in the delivery of the Local Sales
Plan:
●Delivering the Customer Experience; Brand standards and Quality Scores
●Delivering the development of the Operational Teams; Building a pipeline of Hotel Managers across all jurisdictions
●Taking responsibility for Health and Safety
●Act as the Project lead new hotel openings in all regions
●Establishing and maintaining supply chains (Housekeeping, Linen)
●Providing input to development team on proposed new sites
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
●To provide Operational leadership for the company to assure the strategic growth and development in the region.
●To be accountable for the overall performance of the hotels across in the region, delivering sustainable financial performance.
●Take overall accountability for compliance with local legislative requirements.
●Manage the ongoing profitability of the hotels, collaborating closely with the commercial team to ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded.
●Collaborate with the revenue team to ensure best rates are set according to local market trends.
●Be accountable for meeting and exceeding guest satisfaction targets.
●Take responsibility for recruiting, developing and motivating Hotel Managers and cluster Managers to deliver the Company’s long term growth strategy.
●Manage the H&S Manager to ensure legal compliance.
●Collaborate with the property team to manage hotel maintenance, reducing the number of offline rooms and ensuring any work carried out is kept within the given budgets.
●Ensure all costs are controlled and revenue opportunities are effectively sourced and delivered.
●Take oversight of the Operational teams to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the Group.
Requisitos
●Extensive Hospitality experience
●Experience in focused service hotels
●Experience in hotel pre-openings
●At least 5 years of experience as Hotel Manager / General Manager
●Strong cost mindset
●Used to working in a lean organisation, able to be hands on as well as strategic
●Pro-active and self-sufficient
●Entrepreneurial approach, prepared to shake things up and try new approaches
●Very strong people management with focus on growing HMs and developing to support fast growing organisation
●Ability to drive sales and control costs within a framework where Revenue and Marketing are managed centrally
●Excellent leadership skills
●Excellent communication skills; able to adapt style to different audiences
●The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate clear strategic thinking, yet remain hands on, with a proven track record in delivery to deadline and within budget. He/She will need to be able to work in an entrepreneurial set up that has high
growth ambitions.
●Proficient in Spanish and English.
