JCI Talent is selecting a Director of Expansion for the Portuguese market for an international hotel chain. The position will be based in Porto or Lisbon.

Job Summary:
The Director of Expansion will lead and manage strategic growth initiatives for our hotel chain. This role involves identifying new markets, overseeing property acquisitions, negotiating deals, and ensuring the successful integration of new locations into our portfolio. The Director will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to align the expansion strategy with the company’s long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research to identify growth opportunities in domestic and international markets. Analyze market trends, competition, and customer demand to assess viability.

Site Selection and Development:
Identify and evaluate potential sites for new hotel properties. Collaborate with real estate agents, developers, and local authorities to secure prime locations.

Deal Negotiation:
Lead negotiations for property acquisitions, lease agreements, and joint ventures. Ensure that terms align with the company’s financial goals.

Financial Analysis:
Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to evaluate profitability and ROI for expansion projects. Present findings and recommendations to the executive team.

Project Management:
Oversee the entire expansion process, from initial feasibility studies to the opening of new properties. Coordinate with construction, legal, and operational teams for smooth execution.

Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain strong communication with key stakeholders, including investors, property owners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment on expansion goals and timelines.

Brand Integrity:
Ensure all new properties meet the brand’s standards for quality, design, and guest experience.

Qualifications:

Skills:
Strong financial acumen and ability to build business cases for expansion.

Deep understanding of the hospitality industry and market trends.

Requisitos

- 7-10 years in hotel expansion, real estate, or hospitality management, with a proven track record in property acquisitions and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
