We are looking for an F&B Director for 5* Resort in Zanzibar.

Position Overview:

The Director of Food & Beverage will be responsible for overseeing and managing all F&B operations at our luxurious 5-star resort in Zanzibar. This leadership role requires a highly experienced professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, optimizing profitability, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service across all dining outlets, bars, and catering services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Management:

Develop and implement the F&B strategy aligned with the resort´s vision and goals.

Oversee the financial performance of the F&B department, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

2. Operational Excellence:

Supervise daily operations of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and event catering.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all F&B operations.

3. Guest Experience:

Curate memorable dining experiences by ensuring impeccable service standards and innovative menu offerings.

Address guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction.

4. Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and mentor a team of F&B professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify development opportunities for team members.

5. Menu Development and Innovation:

Collaborate with chefs and mixologists to create menus that reflect the resort´s identity, local flavors, and global trends.

Ensure menu profitability by managing portion control, pricing, and ingredient sourcing.

6. Vendor and Supplier Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.

Negotiate contracts to secure quality ingredients and beverages at competitive prices.

7. Event Management:

Oversee the planning and execution of high-end events, weddings, and corporate functions.

Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to promote F&B offerings.






Requisitos

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in F&B leadership roles, preferably in luxury resorts or 5-star properties.
Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent knowledge of global culinary and beverage trends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
